Great Album. It really speaks to you and the subjects are easy to relate to.
If you like that undergound, east coast, gritty style of rap, then this cd is for you. Every song on this album is on point with the exception of "Hey Girl".Badia's voice just makes me cringe. My personal fav's are:Resist the systemGraceAll I need Holla at meAs real as it getsEven if you don't like this style of rap, I still recommend this cd, cuz it's that good. EP definitely brought the heat on this record.
'Hey Girl' is a warning to all the sisters out there, with reference to the men, and ways of the world that, if used to define your self worth, will ultimately lead to unhappiness, and separation from God. The Group known as Cross Movement are no more, and whilst they still plan to record as solo acts (please see Crime & Consequences and the eagerly awaited the Dash CD by CM's Tonic) the baton has been passed to a new generation, with Everyday Process being one of the first out the block. Whilst not every track on here is a banger, when the production, lyrics, are on point, boy do they bring it. 'As real as it gets', a joint you can pump in your ride, which is an honest assessment of the hardness of the Christian walk, and an encouragement to keep-on, keeping on. All in all this CD is evidence, if evidence was needed, that HHH's new generation won't drop the baton handed to them, and will represent the most high to the fullest. The outstanding track, and the reason I purchased this joint, is 'Grace' which could be the anthem of my life.
What with this being a CM joint, you know it had to finish with a cypha, and not this any cypha. This release is more grimmy, then any other CM releases that, to my mind have been released, and I don't say that as a negative thing, as I do like that sound myself. This has a lovely lullaby feel to it. Simply put, it exposes what we could have been without the grace of God, through the life death, and resurrect of his son Jesus Christ. The After party is a rough party joint that, whilst having a beat that makes a brother wanna move, has Godly lyrics relating to the ultimate 'After Party', the life promised to God's elect, in heaven. Na, they bring it, full on, with special guests: Lecrae, Flame, R-swift, and the awesome Phanatik, and Ambassador, who to these ears, really kill it.
I would put these two against any secular artisit out and they would annihilate them. It's a shame artist of their caliber are not in heavy rotation somewhere. The hip-hop culture today is so impressed with the world they don't see the freedoms and life that's available through the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord give us the wisdom and boldness to win the lost for You.
then 3 days later i decided i wanted that album.Phew. Everyday Cypha). Give Em the Gospel, 17. Then i saw them live on the HIStory tour. And every time the previews don't even sound good, the whole cd is even worse.
it was from their songs on Cross Movement's "HIStory" album (both of which were outstanding). EP delivers on this album. I thought to myself, "Man, these don't even sound good. I was not disappointed.
Shine Bright).Lyrically, Christ is up front and priority. considering a bunch of my favorite artists are on it, but musically, these two songs drive me nuts.But no bother. and i could hardly hear the lyrics cuz the acoustics weren't great at that venue. I would have to classify the style of this album as East Coast. As Real as it Gets, 16.
I heard the samples on the website around the time it came out. I have to admit i skip some songs every time (13. After Party, 19. Lyrically, i think I would like the cypha, esp. Build Up, 3. The World Needs Jesus 17. Maybe okay at best, but not worth my money."Then for some reason i started thinking about them.
